Al was born & raised in Dalhart, TX, played sports; football, basketball all of his school life and graduated High School. After graduation enlisted in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was Honorably Discharged and was married married and had twin girls.
Al started a long career with The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in Dalhart. He later transferred to Lubbock with TxDOT to pursue a degree in engineering. After graduation, TxDOT transferred him to Austin to finish his career.
After retirement from TxDOT with 31 years, worked with a couple of engineering firms for two years and started and operated his own IT Support Services business for over 15 years.
Al decided to pursue the path to become a licensed Real Estate Agent and currently operates a Real Estate business. He consistently furthers his knowledge by taking continuing education classes for the benefit of his clients and the real estate profession.
For the past 30+ years have been Calling Square Dances all over the US including Hawaii. He has made friends form all over the world through CALLERLAB our International Callers Association.
He like’s woodworking when he has time during his busy schedule.
He has been a member of Bethel Baptist Church for 28 years serving as Finance Committee Chairman and Deacon. He currently is a member of Journey Bible Fellowship Church for 6 years.
